VEG CUTLET
Ingredients:
Bread Crumbs _ 3/4 cup
Corn Flour _ 1 tbl spoon
Onion _ 1/2
Potato _ 1
Carrot _ 1
Beans _ 5
Salt as needed
Pepper _ 1/4 t spoon
Chilly Powder _ 1/4 t spoon
Garam Masala _ 1/4 t spoon
Turmeric Powder _ 1/4 t spoon
Corriander Leaves _ 1 tbl spoon
Mix corn flour in a small bowl with little water to get a watery paste and keep it aside.
Pressure cook the potato, carrot and beans.
We can add any vegetables of your choice.
Peal off the potato skin and mash the veges using a smasher.
Mix chopped onion, chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, garam masala, salt, chopped coriander leaves and 1 tbl spoon bread crumbs along with the mashed vegetables using hands.
In a pan add 1 t spoon of oil and saute the veges mixture just for 3 minutes.
Make small round balls from the vegetables mixture and lightly flatten it.
Instead of regular round shapes, we can cut the veges mixture in cookie cutter after flattening and make cutlets in our desired shapes.
Dip the flattened cutlet first in the corn flour paste and then roll it on the bread crumbs.
Heat a tbl spoon of butter in a dosa tawa and cook the cutlet in medium flame, turning frequently until both sides are browned.
Once roasted on both sides remove the cutlets and serve hot with tomato sauce.
Nice idea to use a cookie cutter for the shapes :)
