KARA BOONDI

KARA BOONDI


Ingredients:
Gram Flour / Besan - 1 cup
Rice Flour - 1 tbl spoon 
Chilly Powder - 1 t spoon 
Salt as needed 
Asafoetida - 1 pinch 
Oil For Deep Frying 
Cashew nut - 5
Groundnut - 1 tbl spoon 
Garlic - 5


      Mix gram flour, rice flour, salt, asafoetida, 1/2 t spoon chilly powder with water to a semi thick consistency or idly batter consistency.



    Pour the batter in a slotted spoon into hot oil so that it pours through the holes.
    Deep fry until bubbles sound stops.


      Drain the fried boondi in a tissue paper.
      Deep fry groundnut, cashews, crushed garlic and add to the fried boondi.
      Add 1/2 t spoon chilly powder, salt and toss well.


      Store Kara boondi in an air tight container.
