RAGI KOLUKATTAI

Ingredients :
Ragi Flour - 1/2 cup
Aval / Poha - 1/4 cup
Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
Cardamom - 1
Jaggery / Naatu Sarkarai - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1 t spoon 


      Dry roast ragi flour in low flame until it turns aromatic.


      Grind poha to a fine powder along with seeds of cardamom and add to the ragi flour.



      Add grated coconut, ghee and mix well.
      Boil 3 tbl spoon water and add powdered jaggery.
      Once the jaggery completely melts, add to the ragi flour mixture and knead to a soft dough.




      Make the dough into desired shapes and steam in an idly cooker for 11 minutes.



      Enjoy ragi kolukattai when it is warm.
