PEARL MILLET WALNUT COOKIES

PEARL  MILLET / KAMBU WALNUT COOKIES

Ingredients:
Pearl Millet/ KAMBU - 1/2 cup
Wheat Flour - 1/2 cup
Brown Sugar / Naatu Sarkarai - 1/2 cup
Vennila Essence - 1 t spoon 
Butter - 75 gm
Walnut - 5


      Wash Pearl millet, drain water and sun dry for a day.


      Grind to a fine powder, seive and keep it aside.
      Melt butter, add sugar, vennila essence and beat well using an electric beater.


      Add Pearl millet flour, wheat flour and beat well.




      Add chopped walnuts, 1 or 2 t spoon water and kneed to a soft dough.



      Make small balls and flatten slightly.
      Place the cookies in a baking tray lined with a butter paper.


      Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes or until the bottom gets lightly browned.      

 
      Allow to cool and store millet cookies in an airtight container.
