POORNA KOLUKATTAI

POORNA KOLUKATTAI 

Ingredients:
Rice Flour _ 1 cup
Water - 1 1/2 cup
Salt _ 1 pinch
Ghee _ 2 tbl spoon 
Grated Coconut _ 2 cups
Jaggery _ 1 cup
Porikadalai _ 2 tbl spoon
Cardamom Powder _ 1/4 t spoon 


      Add 1 tbl spoon ghee in a pan and roast the coconut for a minute.
      Heat jaggery in water until it melts, filter for impurities and add to the coconut.
      Add porikadalai powder, cardamom powder and simmer until it becomes thick.



      Our poornam is ready. Allow it to cool.


      Boil water until and add 1tbl spoon ghee, salt and rice flour.



      Mix until the flour gets thick and switch off the flame.
      Keep mixing with a spoon.
      Once cooled kneed the dough until soft.


      Take small balls of the dough, flatten it to thin disc using hands, and place it in the kolukattai mould.
      Fill with the poornam and close it tightly.



      Steam the kolukattai in idly cooker for 10 minutes in medium flame.


      Our stuffed poorna kolukattai is ready to enjoy.
