BLACK CHANA MASALA

BLACK  CHANA MASALA 

Ingredients:
Black Chana - 1 cup
Cloves - 1
Cardamom - 1
Onion - 1 big
Salt as needed 
Ginger garlic crushed - 1 tbl spoon 
Oil - 1 t spoon 
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Ginger - 1/2 inch piece 
Green Chilly - 1
To Grind 
Garlic - 4
Green Chilly - 2
Coriander Leaves - 1/4 cup
Tomato - 1
Chilly Powder - 1/2 t spoon 
Garam Masala - 1/4 t spoon 
Salt as needed 
Boiled chana - 2 tbl spoon 
Kasuri Methi - 1 t spoon 


      Wash and soak black chana overnight.
      Pressure cook with cloves, cardamom, ginger garlic paste, onion 1/4 t spoon for 5 whistles.
      Grind the items under to grind to a fine paste and keep aside.


        Heat oil in a pan and sauté cumin, chopped onion until golden.
      Add the ground paste and simmer for 10 minutes.


      Add the cooked chana and mix well.


      Once the gravy gets a thick consistency switch off the flame.
      Add 1/2 t spoon oil and fry chopped ginger, slit green chilly. Pout this tadka to the gravy.

      Enjoy black chana masala with chappathi.
