MADURAI THANNI CHUTNEY

MADURAI  THANNI CHUTNEY 

Ingredients:
Big Onion - 2
Ginger - /2 inch piece 
Garlic - 4
Green Chilly - 3
Porikadalai/ Roasted Gram - 2 tbl spoon 
Salt as needed 
Oil - 1 t spoon 
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 t spoon 
Red Chilly - 2
Curry Leaves - 1 spring 


      Heat 1/2 t spoon oil in a pan and fry ginger, garlic, onion, green chilly until soft.



      Grind the roasted ingredients along with porikadalai or roasted gram, salt to a fine paste.


      Transfer the chutney to a bowl and add 1/2 cup water.
      Heat oil in a tadka pan and fry mustard seeds, red chilli, curry leaves.


      Pour the prepared tadka to the chutney.


      Enjoy Madurai THANNI chutney with hot idlis.
